Zelda's Adventure
Zelda's Adventure was the result of a compromise between Nintendo and Philips after they failed to release a CD-ROM-based add-on for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game has a completely different design compared to the previous CD-i Zelda titles, which clearly shows the difference in production between the developers. Princess Zelda is the game's protagonist, making it the second game in the series in which she is playable. Zelda's Adventure has a similar top-down view reminiscent of most conventional 2D Zelda games, and there are also dungeons. The game has taken a lot of criticism and is not recognized by Nintendo as part of the series.
Story
The evil Gannon has captured and imprisoned the brave hero Link. To rescue him, Zelda must travel to Tolemac, an unexplored region in the south-east of the land of Hyrule, and collect seven heavenly signs to defeat Gannon.
