You are placed in the red dormitory of Slifer, and soon after the school year begins, strange things start to happen. As soon as these strange occurrences start, you hear the voice of the duel spirit. This ghost is a good spirit and will help you duel and solve the puzzles around the Dueling Academy. Story
The player is on a ship with his friends Jaden Yuki and Syrus Truesdale on their way to the Dueling Academy. The player is placed in Slifer Red's dormitory, and soon strange things start to happen. As soon as these strange occurrences start, you'll hear the voice of a dueling spirit. This ghost is a good spirit and will help you duel and solve the mysteries around the Dueling Academy. The story loosely follows the events of the anime, except that the player takes the place of Jaden's duels. For example, Dimitri steals Yugi's deck and the player retrieves it. For the most part, the game covers the anime, from its beginnings to the Dark Zane arc. Since the game is based on the anime, some major and minor characters will appear. There are also many characters that only appear in Spirit Caller; they are introduced as side characters. Later, you'll duel with all 7 Shadow Riders and other parts of the first season, and then participate in a tournament.
