Ys V: Lost Kefin, Kingdom of Sand
Ys V: Kefin, The Lost City of Sand is the fifth game in the series. It was released in 1995 for the Snes. A remake was released in 2006 for the PS2. Adol is traveling through new lands in search of new adventures when he hears about the lost desert city of Kefin. He sets out to investigate the disappearance of this ancient city. The RPG-style statistical elements and the overhead view of most of the predecessor games are retained in Ys V. As in Ys III, there is no automatic attack; the player must press a button to swing Adol's sword. Adol can also jump and defend himself with his shield. Ys V also introduces a new magic system, where the player must charge spells by holding a button before they can be cast.
