Ys Seven

The kingdom of Altago is rebuilding its empire in a newfound peace after years of war against the merciless armies of Romn. The classic adventuring duo of Adol and Dogi arrive at the port of Altago City and quickly get into a scuffle with the Dragon Knights, the kingdom's military police, as they try to save a local girl from being harassed by one of their commanders. Angered by the interruption and subsequent humiliation, the commander arrests Adol and Dogi and accuses them of espionage. The King of Altago, who has learned of the duo's impending arrival from an old friend, quickly releases them from prison and invites them to his chambers. He tells the men about an ancient shrine that was discovered after an earthquake and asks them to help him investigate this mysterious find. Adol and Dogi agree, unaware that they are about to take the first steps on a long journey to save all of Altago from long-forgotten ancient forces and reunite the five feuding tribes who serve and protect the Five Great Dragons, the gods who may be the world's last hope. Ys Seven is the latest installment in the long-running Ys series, which first appeared on the PC in 1987. This is the first installment developed specifically for the PSP system, taking full advantage of the widescreen format and hardware. The combat system consists of a three-man battle squad that fights its enemies on the field in real time, making for fast-paced battles. Both old fans of the series and new players will be immersed in the rich, vibrant world that offers over 30 hours of gameplay.
