Story

Arnica is the natural destination for any traveler visiting the planet Dominus. Arnica is home to the Higardi, the most civilized and advanced ethnic group on the planet. In normal times, the city is a bustling, peaceful trading center. But these are not normal times. Rumors of impending ascension have lured all manner of strangers to Dominus. At first, the Higardi welcomed the newcomers with open arms, even allowing the curious Mook to set up a research station in their city. Then the dark Savant arrived with his Black Ship. The Savant immediately cut off Arnika's harbor and shot down any ship that tried to land. He sent his army of Savant Troopers into the city, desperately searching for a nameless artifact. And he erected a massive tower on the outskirts of the city to intimidate the population into submitting to his rule. Arnica is but a shadow of what it once was. The town hall lies in ruins, the spaceport has been closed and much of the population has fled in terror. Sometimes Savant Troopers roam the streets. But the few brave ones who have remained in the city help the weary travelers wherever they can.
