Warhawk
Warhawk, released in Japan as AirAssault, is a futuristic arcade-style flight combat game in which the player flies a VTOL aircraft. The player maneuvers through six levels with 360 degree flight control. Weapons include firing lock-ons, missiles, multi-fire swarm guns and plasma cannons. The game has no multiplayer features and does not support DualShock or analog controllers. There are no save or load functions. Instead, a password is requested each time a level is completed. The game ends when the six levels are completed or when the player's spaceship can no longer fly. This is the case if the spaceship takes serious damage or the player gets out of his or her spaceship. On the first two occasions, the spaceship is teleported to the base, repaired and sent back to the stage; on the third occasion, the game ends. The enemies in the game vary from tanks and airplanes to massive stationary gun emplacements and futuristic robots. Enemies keep popping up in certain areas of the game, challenging the player until he completes the mission objective swiftly.
Story
The plot of the game revolves around a megalomaniac Kreel who has become a global threat, menacing various nations with his seemingly unstoppable armies. Players take on the role of two pilots named "Hatch" and "Walker" who are part of an international force dedicated to fighting Kreel and his various minions. As the campaign progresses, it is revealed that the source of Kreel's power is Red Quicksilver, which gives his troops their invulnerability. The game has different endings depending on the actions taken by the player.
