VR Soccer
VR Soccer (sometimes referred to as VR Soccer '96 and known as Actua Soccer in Japan and Europe) is a sports video game developed and published by Gremlin Interactive for MS-DOS, PlayStation and Sega Saturn. It was the first sports video game to feature a full 3D graphics engine. Three players from the Sheffield Wednesday club were used as motion capture models for the player animations. Actua Soccer only contains 44 national teams with 22 players each. In 1996, however, a new version with clubs was released: Actua Soccer: Club Edition. It contained 20 Premier League teams from the 1996/1997 season and became a bestseller in Europe, especially in the United Kingdom.
