Void Bastards
"Inspired by BioShock and System Shock 2, Void Bastards is a revolutionary new strategy shooter that will test both your wits and your aim. Can you guide the wayward prisoners of the Void Ark through the abandoned spaceships and myriad dangers of the Sargasso Nebula?"
Story
Forget everything you know about first-person shooters: Void Bastards requires you to take command and not just fire your gun. Your task is to lead the ragtag Void Bastards out of the Sargasso Nebula. You make the decisions: where we go, what we do, and who we fight. And then you have to implement this strategy in the face of strange and terrible enemies. Aboard abandoned spaceships, you'll plan your mission by memorizing the ship's layout, the dangers and enemies you might encounter, and the terminals and other ship systems you can use to your advantage.... Move carefully through the dangerous ships, searching for supplies and manipulating the control systems. React to what you find - do you detour to the generator to get the power back on, or fight your way to the security module to take out the ship's defenses? Decide carefully when to fight, when to run, and when to just be a bastard. Use your hard-won supplies to improvise tools and weapons, from the distracting Robo-Kitten to the horribly unstable Clusterflak. Steer your tiny escape pod through the vast nebula of stars. Flee from empty whales and pirates and politely avoid the hungry hermits. All the while, you must search for food, fuel, and other resources that will keep you alive. Void Bastards offers a 12-15 hour campaign that you can complete with an endless supply of prisoners, each with their own unique characteristics. When one dies, another one steps forward to continue the fight. Don't worry, because all crafting progress is passed from one prisoner to another.
