Valkyria Chronicles 2
Valkyria Chronicles 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed tactical role-playing game Valkyria Chronicles on the PS3, which was released exclusively on the PSP (PlayStation Portable) system. The game takes place two years after the end of the original game and takes you back to the epic adventure set in fictional 1930s Europe. In this sequel, you'll take on the role of a group of young cadets from the Gallic Military Academy, who become embroiled in a fierce civil war due to a coup by the newly formed Gallic Revolutionary Army. As the drama and battle unfold, you'll experience stories of friendship, love, and the pains of growing up in a time of war and revolution. The "CANVAS" engine, originally developed by SEGA Game Studios Japan for Valkyria Chronicles, has been completely redesigned for the PSP system. This incredibly distinctive engine allows for over 20 new, unique and visually stunning environments in which you can explore over 200 different missions. For the first time, ad-hoc versus and co-op multiplayer gameplay is now available. The "BLiTZ" combat system has also been redesigned to give players the freedom to strategically move around the environment and attack enemies using real-time controls - something never before seen in the tactical RPG genre. The game adds several new unit classes and offers the possibility to upgrade or change classes. Besides, the combat system is expanded with several map areas that are unlocked when you capture enemy bases, thus exposing more areas of the battlefield.
Story
From Wikia: "Set two years after the events of Valkyria Chronicles, the story revolves around a civil war in the small European nation of Gallia. A rebel group of disaffected aristocrats and like-minded soldiers and citizens, calling themselves the Gallic Revolutionary Army, take up arms to conduct an ethnic cleansing campaign against Gauls of Darcsen descent. Since the intense struggle against the Empire has exhausted the regular army of Gaul, there is initially little to stop the uprising. Laws preventing the formation of a national militia to fight fellow Gauls force the government to send cadets from the Military Academy to the front lines to fight and defeat the GRA forces."
