Tyrants: Fight Through Time
First you choose one of four different characters to represent you: Scarlet (red army), Oberon (yellow army), Caesar (green army) or Madcap (blue army). The game is divided into 10 levels - the first 9 are groups of 3 areas that can be completed in any order, while the last "mother of all battles" has its own surprises. The land is mostly sand, grass or ice. You start with 100 men and can deploy as many as you deem necessary on each island. The remaining men that are left go to another level with another new 100. In the second half of the game you can freeze men to save them for the mother of all battles. Once you've chosen your island and the location for your headquarters, you'll have to research for better weapons and defenses. On the roofs of your buildings you'll be able to place protectors such as archers, gunners, oilmen and later even laser towers. If you send a squad of unarmed men to an unoccupied field, they'll build an additional base there, although larger armies will do this faster. Later on in higher levels you'll also build mines and factories, because depending on whether the area you're in is rich in a certain material or not, you'll have to mine a certain material for higher quality weapons. With each subsequent level you'll start at a higher technology level and you'll be able to advance one level higher than at the previous level.
