Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion

Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion

Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion picks up where Turok 2: Seeds of Evil left off. Oblivion, a monstrous cosmic being that devoured everything in its path and ruled before the birth of our universe, now invades the bodies of the living and devours them from the inside out. When the Primagen light ship was destroyed, the chain reaction it set off was so powerful that the universe as it existed was completely obliterated and the all-powerful Oblivion was pushed to the brink of destruction. For the first time, Oblivion felt pain, fear and hatred. Oblivion survived and is now desperately searching for a way to break through the netscape that separates our world from the Lost Lands. The last remnants of the pure energy source that created our world and nearly wiped out Oblivion are in the Light Burden, the pouch carried by every member of the Turok race. If Danielle and Joseph Fireseed, the siblings who bear the title Turok, cannot stop the death of the Turok mantle, it will be the beginning of the end - the rebirth of Oblivion.

Story

When the Primagen's lightship was destroyed at the end of Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, the chain reaction it caused was so powerful that the universe as it existed was completely obliterated, bringing Oblivion, a monstrous cosmic entity that consumes the bodies of the living and ruled before the birth of the universe, to the brink of destruction. Though utterly devastated, Oblivion survived and now desperately seeks a way to break through the Netherscape that separates the world of the living from the Lost Lands, a strange and primitive world where time has no meaning. The last remnants of the pure energy source that created the world of the living and nearly wiped out Oblivion are contained in the Light Burden, the pouch carried by every member of the Turok race. Deep in the Lost Lands, Oblivion's minions have a vast headquarters from which they gather their armies and direct their operations. The game begins with the current Turok, Joshua Fireseed, dreaming of a child who must be protected, for he is the last of the Fireseed dynasty. That night, Oblivion Spawns teleport into his house and try to kill Joshua in his sleep. Joshua catches them and fights, but is outnumbered. He instructs his sister Danielle and brother Joseph to flee, while he stays behind with a bomb in hand to blow up the Spawns and himself. As Danielle and Joseph drive away, they are attacked by a monster, but Adon, a female alien who helped Joshua in the previous game, rescues them and teleports them to a council meeting about the situation in Oblivion. They decide that either Danielle or Joseph must become the next Turok, and the player must decide. Finally, the player must infiltrate the enemy's headquarters to destroy the scourge of the universe.
