Story

PROLOGUE The story begins with a peaceful day in Gensokyo, when suddenly a plethora of divine spirits appear. The four heroines, Reimu Hakurei, Marisa Kirisame, Sanae Kochiya and Youmu Konpaku, find this unusual. Depending on who you choose, one of them goes off to investigate. MAIN SCENARIO The heroine first investigates in Hakugyokurou and meets Yuyuko Saigyouji. The heroine accuses Yuyuko of not taking proper care of the ghosts. Yuyuko engages in a small fight with the heroine. Yuyuko is defeated and explains that they are actually "divine spirits" and Yuyuko doesn't know much about them. Yuyuko suggests that maybe they come from the Myouren Temple graveyard. When the heroine goes to the temple, she encounters Kyouko Kasodani, the guardian of Myouren Temple. Kyouko is quickly defeated and the heroine moves on. The heroine goes inside the temple. While investigating, she encounters Kogasa Tatara, who claims to want to scare Byakuren, but is stopped by a guard. Kogasa asks the heroine to banish the guard, but the heroine attacks Kogasa. After Kogasa is defeated, the heroine meets the guardian, Yoshika Miyako. Yoshika has been brought back to life to guard the mausoleum. Yoshika is finally defeated and the heroine enters the mausoleum. After the heroine makes it into the mausoleum, she realizes that there are more divine spirits. The heroine meets Seiga Kaku. It turns out that Seiga has brought Yoshika back to life to ensure that the mausoleum is guarded. With Yoshika's support, Seiga fights the heroine. The heroine defeats them both and continues on to the mausoleum. The heroine goes further in and encounters Soga no Tojiko, who attacks the heroine. Tojiko is quickly defeated and the heroine continues her investigation. Finally, the heroine encounters Mononobe no Futo. The heroine fights with Futo and Futo is finally defeated. Finally, the heroine goes to the deepest part of the mausoleum and sees a lot of divine spirits. On her way, the heroine encounters a holy saint, Toyosatomimi no Miko. Miko had just been resurrected and it turns out that the divine spirits had gathered to witness the resurrection of their saint Miko. The heroine and Miko engage in a fierce battle. The heroine is victorious.
