Top Gear 2
This third-person racing game resembles Gremlin's earlier Lotus series in terms of general look and atmosphere, right down to the font used in the game. Your task is to race through 16 countries, in each of which four races are held, with many real race tracks recreated in inappropriate locations (for example, the Monza facility in Ayers Rock and the old Hockenheim in Vancouver). These four race blocks each represent their own mini-championship in which you compete against 19 cars. To advance, you must finish in the top 10, with the first 6 earning points (10-6-4-3-2-1) and the corresponding amount of money in the thousands. You can spend this money on various upgrades, from the engine to the tires (wet and dry) and from the shock absorbers (front, side and rear) to the gearboxes. The ideal is to buy the more expensive versions as soon as possible, since you won't get any savings when upgrading. If you win the championship in four races, you'll get the next password. You'll get a certain amount of nitro boost to use in each race, but many tracks also give you bonus nitros, money and instant acceleration tokens. Obstacles such as puddles, barriers and ramps are also frequent.
