Tobal No. 1
Fighting game with a unique quest mode from Square. The publisher enlisted the help of Seiichi Ishii, who had previously worked on Tekken and Virtua Fighter. Because of these strengths, Square supported Ishii to start his own development company, Dream Factory, and Tobal No.1 is the developer's first game. The game features some 3D movement for more behind-the-back attacks than the fighting games released at the same time. Tobal also introduced an interesting grappling move that lets you grab your opponent and throw him in different ways depending on the key execution. The game has Gouraud shading, displayed in high-resolution mode (640x480), and came with a demo of Final Fantasy VII.
