The World Ends with You

In the game, Neku Sakuraba and his allies are forced to participate in a match that will decide their fate. The combat system makes use of many of the Nintendo DS's unique features, such as fights that take place on both screens and attacks that are carried out by making certain movements on the touch screen or by shouting into the microphone. Elements of Japanese youth culture, such as fashion, food and cell phones, are important aspects of the missions.

Story

A boy named Neku wakes up at a crowded intersection in Shibuya in the heart of Tokyo - alone and with no idea how he got there. Then he receives a text message: "Complete this mission ... or you will be wiped out." This throws Neku into a game of life and death that sends him through streets paved with one puzzle after another.
