The Settlers II: Veni, Vidi, Vici
The Settlers II: Veni, Vidi, Vici is a real-time strategy computer game published by Blue Byte Software in 1996. The gameplay is very similar to its predecessor The Settlers, but with a Roman theme and improved graphics. It is the second game in the The Settlers series. Many fans of the series consider it to be the best game in the series, mainly because the following installments greatly changed the transportation management aspect. This popularity encouraged Blue Byte to release a remake of the game, The Settlers II (10th Anniversary) for Windows, and a port of the original game to the Nintendo DS.
Story
At the mercy of the elements, a shipwrecked Roman crew sets out for a seemingly deserted island. As their leader, you are responsible for the fate and well-being of your people. Brave the elements, build your economy and be aware of your enemies - Vikings, Nubians and Asians - as you try to return to your homeland.
