The Outfit
The Outfit is a World War II game that, unlike many other games of the genre, focuses almost exclusively on destruction. While you'll have to be mostly tactical on foot, you'll get points, called "field units", with which you'll be able to buy equipment such as tanks and turrets to destroy Axis soldiers. You can easily buy equipment by using the Y button on your controller in conjunction with the left thumbstick button to select an item to buy. Thus, the game developers call The Outfit "destruction on demand". The equipment you buy with field units is initially manned by AI-controlled soldiers, but you can replace anyone using the equipment so you can have fun blowing stuff up. Since the environment is completely destructible, almost anything can be blown up in The Outfit. You can play as one of three characters. Tommy Mac can take a lot of damage before he dies. He is equipped with a flamethrower and a machine gun, but the equipment costs him more field units than the other characters. Deuce Williams is equipped with a rocket launcher and a pistol and doesn't need as many field units to buy equipment as Tommy, but he isn't nearly as strong as Tommy. JD Tyler is the most accurate of the three characters with a sniper rifle and a shotgun, but unfortunately he dies with a single shot, so he has to be extremely tactical.
