Story

It's summer in the idyllic northern English village of Stanning. Beth is a successful twenty-something on the verge of becoming managing director of the largest company in the valley, settling down and maybe having a few children. Life seems so simple, but something is missing.... Many years ago, Beth found an earring while metal detecting at a local farm. It brought her brief fame (and a modest amount of money for a preschool-aged child), but mostly it made her feel special. But she never found the right earring. Now the old farm is just a week away from being torn down so an energy company can turn it into a solar farm. Beth decides this is her last chance to rekindle her childhood sense of adventure. There's too much to discover, so (despite her friends' warnings) she hatches a plan to bring Adam back into her life. Beth's search for the lost earring unearths more than she bargained for.
