The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda is the first title of the Zelda series and has marked the history of video games mainly through its game mechanics and universe. The player controls Link and must make his way through the forests, graveyards, plains and deserts of the Otherworld to find the secret entrances to the eight dungeons and try to restore the broken Triforce. Game mechanics included, for the first time, an ongoing world that could be freely explored, power-ups that permanently improved the main character's abilities, and a battery save feature that allowed players to keep their progress instead of having to start over. The gameplay offered a good balance between action sequences and discoveries, secrets and explorations.
Story
In one of the darkest times of the kingdom of Hyrule, a young boy named Link embarks on an epic journey to restore the broken Triforce of Wisdom and rescue Princess Zelda from the clutches of the evil Ganon.
