The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the first Zelda game developed specifically for the Wii. The game uses the Wii MotionPlus peripheral for swordplay and a revamped Wii remote control system for aiming. Skyward Sword is structured similarly to previous Zelda games: You travel through an overworld in search of temples to visit, solving a series of puzzles there before fighting a boss at the end and getting the next part of the storyline. The biggest change is that the overworld focuses more on puzzles and includes only a handful of action.

Story

The game's story is the oldest in the Zelda continuity and precedes that of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. Skyward Sword tells the story of the protagonist Link, who grew up in a society above the clouds called Skyloft. After his childhood best friend, Zelda, is taken to the land below the clouds by demonic forces, Link does everything he can to save her, traveling back and forth between Skyloft and the surface while fighting the dark forces of the self-proclaimed "demon lord" Ghirahim.
