The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is the sixth installment in the main Trails series and kicks off the Erebonia arc. The game follows Rean Schwarzer and his classmates of "Class VII" at Thor's Military Academy, a newly formed class at the academy that is the only one not segregated by social class, consisting of both Erebonian nobility and commoners. Apart from a few changes, the basic gameplay is almost identical to that of the previous games. The biggest change to the combat system, which also counts as a brand new feature, is the "Tactical Link System". With the "Tactical Link", players can perform three different types of link attacks that deal additional damage and offer various other advantages. The "Tactical Link" becomes more useful to players the further the story progresses and the higher the characters' "Link Levels" are. As your Link level increases, you gain new Link abilities, such as healing your Link partner or increasing your partner's HP.
