The Last of Us

A third-person shooter/stealth/survival hybrid in which twenty years after the outbreak of a parasitic fungus that takes over people's neural functions, Joel, a Texan with a tragic family past, is responsible for smuggling a fourteen-year-old girl named Ellie to a militia group called the Fireflies while avoiding strict and deadly authorities, infected fungus hosts, and other violent survivors.

Story

Joel, a ruthless survivor who knows few moral boundaries, lives in one of the last remaining quarantine zones. These walled, oppressive cities are administered by the remnants of the military. Despite strict martial law, Joel is active in the city's black market, smuggling contraband for the right price. A dying friend asks Joel to take care of Ellie, a fourteen-year-old girl who has more courage than she cares for. What starts as a simple assignment to get Ellie to another quarantine zone soon turns into a profound journey that will change Joel and Ellie forever. As they travel across the United States in the aftermath of the pandemic, Joel and Ellie meet different groups of survivors who have each found their own way to deal with the infected people, the lack of supplies, and the threat of other survivors. As Joel and Ellie struggle to survive, they must learn to trust each other and work together to survive in this new world.
