Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure (developed under the working title Project Fedora) is the upcoming sixth game in the Tex Murphy series of detective adventure games, developed by Big Finish Games and published by Atlus. Like its three predecessors, it will tell much of its story through live-action video sequences and feature freely explorable 3D environments during gameplay.
Story
Tex Murphy wakes up - disoriented and with a throbbing head - on the fire escape outside his office at the Ritz Hotel. Another typical morning for the last of the old-school detectives. But he isn't. What begins as the worst hangover in history turns into a puzzling nightmare: Something - or someone - has erased Tex's memories of the past seven years. Driven by lost love, revenge, and the world's strongest coffee blend, Tex must retrace his own steps into a maze of unsolved murders, hidden plans, and lost technology from Nikola Tesla. Only by uncovering the secrets of his past can Tex hope to regain his memory in time to restore what has been lost and prevent a terrible future.
