Terminal Velocity
Terminal Velocity is a video game simulation. It is an arcade-style flight combat game, with controls and physics that are simpler than those of flight simulators. It is known for its fast, energetic action sequences, compared to the flight simulators of the time.
Story
The story takes place in the year 2704, when ASFAR (Alliance of Space-Faring Alien Races), of which Earth is a member, suddenly turns against Earth and its fleet devastates the planet and starts a war. The player flies a powerful starfighter, the TV-202, in a series of missions to defeat the enemy. In Episode 3, the player learns that a giant supercomputer called X.I. (Xenocidic Initiative), located on Proxima Seven, is responsible for the war. Your final mission is to eliminate it. Only in the CD-ROM version, a hidden mission can take place after the main storyline, in which the player must investigate a sudden metamorphosis of an unknown nearby planet and destroy the force that changed the planet's face. Here it is revealed that this force has driven a man named Sy Wickens insane and how the X.I. supercomputer has "accidentally" digitized Sy Wickens' personality.
