Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Mutant Nightmare
TMNT3 puts more emphasis on teamwork, character development and control than any other Turtles console game to date. You can take on the role of your favorite Turtle alone or with up to three friends, earning experience points as you defeat foot ninjas and powerful, familiar bosses from the TMNT universe. With these experience points, players can upgrade and develop their Turtles' attributes and abilities to gain even more varied and powerful attacks and moves. The Ninja Scroll System is another new feature in TMMT3. By selecting ninja scrolls, the Turtles can strategically use different special abilities. Cooperative play is at the heart of TMNT3, and players who team up with friends for multiplayer action will be rewarded with exclusive features, such as the Cooperative Attack, which deals even more shocking damage to enemies. The effect of this attack changes depending on the number of players working together (between 2-4 players). For even more control, TMNT3 features a new combat system, the Target Attack System, which allows players to play even more instinctively and strategically. With the Target Attack System, players can target specific enemies and block, dodge or counter accordingly to make combat more fluid and agile. Story mode can be played with 1-4 players. Even if you play with less than 4 players, the other Turtles will be by your side and controlled by the AI. All Turtles can participate in the Cooperative Attack to defeat enemies, and players can give commands to the AI.
Story
In Episode 1, the Turtles start by saving an old person in New York City from sadistic Triceratons. After destroying three aircraft carriers with the Triceraton army, the Turtles go underground to reach Central Park to rescue their friends Casey and April. In the park, Leo, Raph, Mikey and Don defend the Triceratons and Professor Honeycutt, known as the Fugitoid from TMNT 2 Battle Nexus, helps the Turtles find the place where Casey Jones and April O'Neil are being held captive. Zaranmon, the Triceratons' commander-in-chief, breaks into the Triceratons' base and mobilizes a robot to stop the Turtles and Traximus. Zaranmon's attempt fails and Traximus destroys a chair to bring about a change in their clan. In Episode 2, the Turtles discover a new technology originated by Baxter Stockman when Mousers invade the sewers and cause Master Splinter severe pain in his ears. While protecting their sensei, the Ninja Turtles fight off the Mousers and stay close to him. However, Master Splinter is captured and the Turtles use hovercraft to chase a moving van. Soon they are blocked by a large and a small enemy duo who lay an ambush. After overcoming them, the Turtles continue their rescue mission for Master Splinter and end up fighting with Bishop to free him from a castle using throwing stars. In Episode 3, the Turtles meet all the members of the Foot Clan in the missions. Hun, Karai and Oroku Saki, the human identity of Shredder, all stab the Turtles in the back. In the final battle with Saki, he is upgraded to Mega Shredder. The Ninja Turtles defeat him and are then summoned to a tribunal before the Utrom Council. Scherel, the Utrom who controls Shredder's body, is accused of dastardly crimes and exiled to an icy planet, while Karai and the others are turned into authorities at the end of the main game. In the "Nightmare" chapter, each turtle has a dream and encounters different bosses. If you complete most of the missions in this chapter, you'll encounter the final boss of the game, Ultimate Drako. To use the Gembu Scrolls to activate the Ultimate Turtle forms, the player must collect scrolls and other content in Free Battle mode.
