Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology

The world Terresia is attacked by a "devourer" that tries to consume the mana and make the world barren. Although the inhabitants of the planet do not know about it, this is the result of the actions of two beings called Widdershin and Aurora, descendants from other worlds. As a last resort, the life-giving tree of the world (the World Tree) uses its last power to create a defender - the player's own character. The hero is awakened by a strange creature named Mormo, whose own world has been destroyed by the same threat, and learns of the danger to that world's World Tree. Hearing a scream, the player rushes to discover that a girl is being attacked by a soldier. After saving the girl, she introduces herself as Kannono, a member of an organization called Ad Libitum. This guild tries to help people in the world and fight injustice and oppression. For lack of a better lead, the player and Mormo set out to join Ad Libitum, hoping to learn more about the Devourer's whereabouts.
