Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain

Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain is a third-person shooter developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released in May 2004 for the PlayStation 2 and is the fourth installment in the Syphon Filter series. The game is about a global bioterrorism crisis, and players take on the role of a new recruit in Gabe Logan's agency to stop the spread of the deadly Omega Strain virus.

Story

The game begins in Carthage, Michigan, as Imani Gray and four IPCA recruits are dispatched to track down Lawrence Mujari and eliminate the French Anarchist Liberation Army (ALA). Gabriel Logan and Lian Xing investigate in Uganda, and Gary Stoneman investigates in Italy. The IPCA agents thwart the ALA's plans. Mujari has recovered and is undergoing medical treatment. Meanwhile, Stone discovers that the Cosa Nostra wants to obtain the virus to use as a tool in mafia wars. Stone goes on a mission to Pescara to assassinate the head of the mafia, Dimitri Alexoupolos. Dimitri's assassination prevents a mafia family from gaining access to the Syphon Filter.
