Syobon Action

Syobon Action, also known as Cat Mario, is a "masocore" parody of Super Mario Bros. with an anthropomorphic cat. The game intentionally subverts many of the mechanics expected in a platform game. Players must figure out how to overcome the game's myriad traps through trial and error. It was re-released as an open source version for Windows and AmigaOS under the name Open Syobon Action.
