Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation

It is two hundred years after the beginning of the "Space Age", a period in which civilization began to expand into space. However, at the beginning of the 21st century, two meteorites struck and destroyed much of Earth, throwing humanity into chaos. In the year 179 of the Space Age, Earth's federal government discovered a secret technology called Extra-Over Technology (EOT) in a third meteorite that struck the Marquesas Islands in the South Pacific. When Dr. Bian Zoldark examined the meteor, he discovered that the creators of the Extra Over Technology were on their way to Earth to retrieve it. To defend Earth, the government begins to develop a group of humanoid mecha known as Personal Troopers. The alien race, who have created the Extra-Over technology and are called Aerogaters by the Earth government, first attack an Earth ship sent to investigate their presence in the far reaches of the solar system. This initial skirmish ends in defeat for the Aerogaters, prompting them to call for negotiations with the Earth Federation army. The talks are to take place in a secret facility in Antarctica, but the talks are attacked by a renegade faction, the Divine Crusaders. The Divine Crusaders destroy the Aerogater delegation and then turn on the Federation forces. Bian Zoldark, who reveals himself to be the leader of the Divine Crusaders, announces the existence of the Aerogaters to the world and rebels against the Earth government. As Earth becomes embroiled in civil war, a new Aerogater force sets out to reclaim their lost technology...
