Super Pac-Man
Super Pac-Man is a game from Namco's Pac-Man family, but instead of devouring points, Pac must eat fruits and prizes, such as apples, bunches of bananas, donuts, hamburgers, fried eggs, corn on the cob, sneakers, pieces of cake, raspberries, limes, coffee cups, mushrooms, Galaxians, bells and clovers. Most of these items are hidden in corridors that have locked doors at both entrances. To open the doors, Pac must eat the key closest to the corridor he wants to unlock. As usual, Pac is chased by ghosts through the maze until he loses all his lives. However, Pac can enter the warp tunnels on either side of the maze to quickly get rid of the ghosts. There are two types of power pellets in the maze: green and yellow. Yellow power pellets cause the ghosts to turn blue and Pac can eat them for points, while green power pellets cause Pac to increase in size and make the ghosts much thinner and wider so he can fly over them. Also, he can break down the doors without needing keys. Unfortunately, the effect of the pellets only lasts for a few seconds. During the time he is enlarged, a blinking star appears next to two boxes located in the center of the maze. The first box displays the current fruit or prize, the other a rotating selection of them. If Pac manages to eat the star when they match, there is a big bonus point. Occasionally, after three or more phases, there is a bonus phase in which Pac is automatically enlarged. The goal of these phases is to eat everything in the maze before time runs out, and during these phases there are no ghosts chasing him.
