Super Kick-Off

Super Kick-Off

Super Kick Off is a soccer game for the Sega Mega Drive, Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear that was released exclusively in Europe and Brazil. Many consider it to be the watered-down version of Kick Off 2, which was previously released for the Commodore Amiga (and ported to the Amstrad CPC, Atari ST and Commodore 64). Kick Off 2 was originally programmed by Dino Dini for Anco Games, the console adaptations were taken over by Tiertex. From the franchise's point of view, Super Kick Off was to be followed by the controversial Kick Off 3: European Challenge. Dino Dini, who was not involved in Kick Off 3, later founded his own company and produced the Amiga/IBM PC game Goal! with a similar game principle. Goal! also appeared on the Mega Drive, in the updated form of Dino Dini's Soccer.
