Super Buster Bros.

Super Pang is an adventure for one or two players that takes the player around the world with the objective of ridding the planet of a terrible enemy: seemingly harmless-looking bubbles. The main part of the game is the tour mode, in which the player visits a number of different levels representing different countries of the world. The character is armed with a gun that shoots a vertical cable. When this hits a bubble, it is split in two. Upgrades allow you to shoot two cables at once or stick a cable to the ceiling, where it will stick for a few seconds and burst any bubble it hits. Players must clear each screen of bubbles before moving on to the next. The largest bubbles can split into 4 levels before bursting. In many levels there are ladders, barriers, and breakable rocks that affect both the player's movement and that of the bubbles. Faster bubbles in the form of diamonds also bounce around the screen in all directions, instead of bouncing in predictable arcs like the other bubbles. There are also several power-up tokens that let you reduce all the bubbles to their minimum size, freeze the bubbles for a few seconds and use different weapons. Monsters also appear on the screen at regular intervals, which hit the bubbles and reduce them by one size, and can often be controlled with the cable weapon. In addition to the main "Tour" mode, the game also features the "Panic" mode, in which a series of bubbles are thrown at the player. The further the player progresses, the more bubbles are needed to reach the next level, similar to Tetris.
