A series of statistics, rankings, and achievements give each player a goal: from "Banquet King" and "Peacebringer" to "Victor of the Month" and "Lionheart"! Factions, elections, liege lords and their vassals provide a real sense of structured community with many different ways to chat with other players, discuss strategies and build loyalties. While an impregnable castle should be the centerpiece of any feudal lord or lady, you can also specialize with an extensive research tree. If you start as a simple peasant, each promotion will earn you valuable research points that you can invest in trade, diplomacy, warfare, agriculture, religion, and more. Be aware, however, that as your power grows, so do your responsibilities. Your vassals and community members will look to you for leadership and guidance. You may find yourself fighting for the crown!
