Street Fighter III: New Generation
Street Fighter III: New Generation is a fighting game in Capcom's Street Fighter series, originally released in 1997 as a coin-op arcade game. Street Fighter III was produced for the CD-ROM-based CP System III hardware, which allowed for more elaborate 2D graphics than the CPS II-based Street Fighter Alpha games (the previous incarnation of the Street Fighter series) while revamping many of the game's mechanics. Designed to be a direct successor to Street Fighter II, the game initially dropped all previous characters except Ryu and Ken (hence the subtitle "New Generation") and introduced an entirely new roster of fighters led by Alex.
