Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike is the second sequel to Street Fighter III, which expanded the character roster with five new characters and refined the gameplay mechanics and rules of the previous game. All the characters that returned from the previous Street Fighter III games got new stages, endings and voice actors for certain characters, and continued the general storyline where the first two games left off.
Story
3rd Strike tells the story of what happened after the events of Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact and the conclusion of the Third World Warrior Tournament (the fourth, retroactively). Among the fights that took place during this time are: Alex vs. Ryu - Ryu meets and comprehensively defeats Alex, leading Alex to become obsessed with fighting Ryu again and becoming a better fighter. Ryu vs Ken - The two friends face off again and Ryu narrowly defeats Ken again, praising him as his most worthy opponent. Chun-Li vs. Urien - Chun-Li demands the return of a kidnapped child and Urien agrees if Chun-Li delivers an entertaining fight. The winner is unknown, but it is presumed that Chun-Li won as the child is returned. Necro vs. Twelve - After Necro and his companion Effie survive the events of 2nd Impact, Necro's successor Twelve is hired by Gill or Urien to hunt them down and destroy them. While the official outcome of this battle is unknown, Necro's end reveals that he and Effie likely survived the encounter. Twelve, meanwhile, has been returned to Dr. Woo's lab to recover, and it is hinted that he has developed feelings, as his hollow eyes have acquired a red iris. Akuma vs. Oro - Both fought each other after an encounter, but declared to stop the fight as there was no clear winner and both believed that a mutual death would occur if they continued.
