Steins;Gate is a Japanese visual novel developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus. It is the second game in the Science Adventure series after Chaos;Head. Described by the development team as a "hypothetical science adventure", the game explores time and time travel in Akihabara of 2010, with gameplay following non-linear storylines that feature branching scenarios with interaction possibilities.

Story

The story of Steins;Gate takes place in Akihabara and is about a group of friends who have converted their microwave into a device that can send text messages into the past. As they carry out various experiments, they are tracked down by an organization called SERN, which is conducting its own research into time travel.
