Steambot Chronicles

Steambot Chronicles

Steambot Chronicles is an action-adventure role-playing game developed and published by Irem Software Engineering in Japan for the PlayStation 2 in 2005. It was later published by Atlus in North America and 505 Games in PAL regions. The game features steam-driven, mech-based, sandbox-style gameplay.

Story

Steambot Chronicles is set in a steampunk-style world where steam-powered vehicles, known as Trotmobiles, are commonplace. The player takes on the role of Vanilla Beans, a young man who wakes up on the beach with no memory and soon becomes embroiled in a series of events ranging from exploring the world to battles in Trotmobiles to social and moral interactions that influence the development of the story. The game's plot is quite flexible and allows the player to make choices that affect the course of the narrative. There are multiple endings depending on the choices you make on your journey.
