StarDrive sets a new standard for the "4X Space Strategy" genre. You start with a single planet and a small number of space-age ships and must venture into the galaxy, conquering new worlds, building new colonies and defending your existence against those who want to take what is yours. How you play is up to you. Use diplomacy or brute force. Act, spy and explore your way to galactic domination. Make friends or create mortal enemies.... The heart of StarDrive is the ship design and the battle engine. StarDrive takes a modular approach to ship design, allowing players to build their own ships where the composition and placement of ship modules is critical to the ship's performance. If your port armor comes under fire in combat, turn around and show them your starboard side! Hide behind the shields of a friendly capital ship, warp in and out of combat, launch fighters, lay mines, and more.
