Star Control: Origins

"Star Control: Origins" is a science fiction action-adventure game that combines planetary exploration, diplomacy with alien races, and direct spaceship-versus-spaceship combat. As the player, you pilot a spaceship, send out a landing craft to explore planets, gather resources, and examine artifacts, and then invest those resources in new technologies, weapons, upgrades, and ships from other races. In the fleet battles shown above, two ships face off against each other; these battles can be played against the AI or in multiplayer mode. The game is considered part of the “Star Control” series, but is set in a different universe than the original games.
