Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly
Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly is the fourth game in the Spyro the Dragon series and the first Spyro game to be released for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Gamecube. The gameplay is similar to the previous three console games. The only playable character is Spyro, but he can control several vehicles: Hunter's Manta Ray and the UFOs return from Year of the Dragon, and there are also two new vehicles, the tank and the Spitfire fighter. The game had to contend with development problems that affected the final product, causing it to be poorly made. When it was released, it was heavily criticized for its numerous bugs, long loading times and jerky frame rate, and was called the worst part of the series by fans and critics.
Story
The story begins shortly after the Year of the Dragon. The dragons are celebrating a rite of passage for the young dragons and the great dragon parade with the arrival of new young dragonfly guardians for the baby dragons. But during the celebration, Ripto teleports through a portal with his henchmen Crush and Gulp and disrupts the celebration to capture the new young dragonflies and weaken the baby dragons. However, his spell backfires and the dragonflies are scattered all over the dragon kingdom. Spyro has the task of recovering the new dragonfly harvest of the realms.
