Spartan: Total Warrior

An action game offshoot of the Total Warrior series. You'll play a powerful Spartan and fight your way through hordes of enemies in large environments, while cooperating with allies. Use ultra-violent special attacks to mow down entire groups of enemies at once, to ridiculously bloody effect. The game features fast-paced, arcade-style, mission-based gameplay. In each mission you'll have to achieve smaller objectives, such as killing the enemy's generals, escorting sappers to blow up enemy siege weapons and preventing the enemy from getting behind your borders. The storyline is advanced through cutscenes between each mission. Depending on how successful you are in your mission, you'll get "tokens" that you can use to improve your character's health, damage or strength. The player is able to perform special moves that can be learned throughout the game. Some of the special maneuvers get their powers from the Spartan gods, who help the player in his combat. During the game you'll be able to find various weapons such as swords, bows and spears and, of course, shields.
