Space Pirates and Zombies
At its core, Space Pirates and Zombies is an action-based, skill-oriented top-down space combat game. It's similar to the games we knew and loved in years past, but now with a full physics simulation and modern graphics for those oh-so-beautiful explosions. But when you go deeper, SPAZ becomes much more.
Story
After the discovery of the miraculous element 126, humanity has spread throughout the galaxy. As more of the new element has been found near the galactic core, the outer worlds, including Earth, have become neglected backwaters. However, the galaxy is in turmoil as the UTA, originally formed as a police force, begins to brutally suppress civilians who rebel against them. You and your motley crew of space veterans complete work on a massive mothership on Earth and, after some initial setbacks, head to the galactic core to find happiness. But all is not well in the core worlds, and a galactic civil war is still the least of humanity's problems.
