Soul Blade
Soul Blade is a 3D arcade fighting game and the first part of the Soul series. The game has twelve colorful fighters, each with different weapons and styles. The first ten can be used in all combat modes, while the hidden two can only be used in Versus and Arcade modes. The story mode introduces each character in detail, in the form of an ancient book. It also lets you unlock more extra weapons for each character. These weapons, which differ in length, strength and durability, expand the options available to players in Versus mode. Soul Blade was a commercial and critical success and was followed by several sequels, starting with Soulcalibur in 1998.
