Sniper Elite

Sniper Elite is a third-person action strategy game with an emphasis on sniping. The player takes on the role of an American agent working for the OSS (the organization that later became the CIA), stationed in Berlin at the end of World War II to prevent Russian troops from getting hold of German nuclear weapons research. Being an elite sniper is less about running and gunning and more about finding good positions, placing shots and taking out the enemy before they even know where you are. The single player campaign consists of 28 missions set in and around Berlin. Players use stealth tactics, and things like wind and background noise can play a role in the placement of shots. If a shot is particularly well placed, players are rewarded with a "bullet cam" that tracks the bullet in slow motion from the gun barrel to the target.
