In Smoke and Sacrifice, players take on the role of Sachi, a young mother in search of her child's destiny. The game takes place in a dark, fantastic world where grotesque plants and animals roam and harsh social mores prevail. Smoke and Sacrifice takes its cues from modern survival classics and evolves the genre with its very personal story and complex ecosystem. Creatures forage, mate, reproduce and prey on each other, creating a living world. Only by taming the game's wilderness can Sachi hope to unravel the mystery at the heart of Smoke and Sacrifice. The beautiful, hand-painted visuals of Smoke and Sacrifice belie the brutal story of motherhood and survival. Sachi doesn't just have to fear the game's antagonists - the entire game world poses a threat. Players can alter the behavior of plants and animals, but that can also limit the resources Sachi can use to create items. The deadly smoke also presents unique challenges throughout the game, altering the behavior of both the antagonists and the players.
