Story
Sly Cooper was enjoying his relationship with Inspector Carmelita Fox, which they were able to start through Sly's feigned amnesia when Bentley showed up. Bentley explained to Sly that the pages of Thievius Raccoonus had disappeared and that Penelope had suddenly vanished at the same time. Bentley wanted to regroup the Cooper gang to stop the one who was changing history. Sly soon met with Bentley and Murray at their old hideout, where Bentley introduced them to the time machine. This device, built into the Cooper van, allows the gang to travel back in time and correct the past. Their first stop was feudal Japan, but since the time machine required an item from that time, they had to commit a heist to get the item in question. Their destination was a nearby museum owned by what appeared to be a prestigious art mogul, a museum that Sly already had his eye on.
