Sly 2: Band of Thieves
The sequel to Sly Cooper presents itself in the same crime thriller style and borrows heavily from movies, novels and comics to create a beautiful, heavily animated game. The story takes place two years after Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. In the first game, Sly became a professional thief, but in Band of Thieves he is a professional thief - so he keeps all the moves from the first game. He also gets new moves and various items to help him in his dark craft. The biggest innovation is the new multi-character gameplay. Players can start a level as Sly and then, after completing a certain task, switch to Bentley or Murray.
Story
Two years after defeating Clockwerk, Sly Cooper breaks into the Natural History Museum in Cairo to steal and destroy the Clockwerk parts to finally end his threat to Sly's family, but he discovers that the parts are already gone. Inspector Carmelita Montoya Fox and her new partner, Constable Neyla, confront Sly, but he escapes before Carmelita and Neyla can arrest him. Before he can escape, Sly overhears Neyla suggesting that the evidence points to the Klaww gang stealing the parts for their own use. The Cooper gang makes their way to Paris, where the first member of the Klaww gang, Dimitri, is using Clockwerk's tail feathers as printing plates to make counterfeit money. Sly and the gang cause the operation to fail and Dimitri is arrested by Interpol. The gang then travels to India, where the second member of the Klaww Gang, Rajan, shows off Clockwerk's wings at a ball he organizes. Rajan is also the leader of a local crime syndicate that grows and sells "spice", an illegal plant from the Indian jungle. Also present at the ball are the other members of the Klaww gang and several undercover Interpol agents, including Carmelita and Neyla. The gang steals the Clockwerk wings in the center of the ballroom, while a disguised Sly creates a distraction by dancing with Carmelita. After the Cooper gang escapes with the clockwork wings, Carmelita blows their cover and begins making arrests. The Klaww gang flees the scene and Rajan hides somewhere deep in the jungle. The gang tracks him down in a long-abandoned temple, where he uses one half of the clockwork heart to super-irrigate his spice plants. He wears the other half of the heart on the end of a staff that he always carries with him. The gang steals both halves of the heart and incapacitates Rajan, but Carmelita, Neyla and the Contessa arrive. Neyla accuses Carmelita of working with the Cooper gang on the night the Clockwerk wings were stolen. She betrays the Cooper gang and places Sly, Murray and Carmelita under arrest.
