Skies of Arcadia
Arcadia is a world where the continents float high above and people travel by airships. Among the countries of this world, the most powerful is the kingdom of Valua. Led by its greedy admirals, Valua strives for all the power in Arcadia. The boy Vyse and the girl Aika are members of the Blue Rogues - noble pirates who attack only Valua's warships. During one of their confrontations with a warship, they meet a girl named Fina, who is on an important mission, the secret of which she cannot yet reveal. Involved in the conflict with Valua's empire, the trio of heroes must explore the entire world of Arcadia to defeat the admirals.
Story
The game is set in the fictional sky of Arcadia, where six civilizations coexist on floating continents orbited by six differently colored moons. Thousands of years before the game's present, the civilizations, one for each moon, technologically evolved to the point where each created a Gigas, a colossal living weapon of mass destruction controlled by a moon crystal. With the help of the Gigas, civilizations warred with each other, threatening the extinction of humanity. The most advanced civilization, the Silver Civilization, used its Gigas to summon the Rain of Destruction, which pulled meteorites from orbiting moons and crashed them onto the planet's surface. The cataclysmic destruction stopped the Gigas' rampage and nearly destroyed the other five civilizations as well, ending the war. The Silver Gigas was sealed to prevent it from being used again, and the Moon Crystals were hidden while each civilization worked to rebuild. Vyse and Aika are part of the Blue Rogues, a group of Robin Hood-minded air pirates who are fighting back against the militant and tyrannical Valuan Empire. Led by Empress Teodora, the empire seeks the Moon Crystals to resurrect the Gigas and take over the world. Teodara commissions the Valuan Armada, a fleet of warships led by Admirals Galcian and Ramirez, to search for the crystals. When the Silver Civilization learns of this plan, it sends Fina out to find the Moon Crystals first. She is captured by the Armada, but is rescued by Vyse and Aika, who, as mutual enemies, agree to help her in her mission.
