Silent Hill 4: The Room

Silent Hill 4: The Room is the fourth part of the Silent Hill survival horror series. The game is similar to the previous parts in terms of atmosphere and never lets the player know what is around the next corner or on the street. In addition to the traditional third-person perspective, there is now also a first-person mode, in which the main character is controlled in his apartment. Objects that can be interacted with are highlighted by eye icons. While the previous games in the series were mainly about exploring the city and solving puzzles, this installment is much more about combat. There are more enemies in a given area, spread out in a small space. The main character mostly uses the standard arsenal of weapons from Silent Hill, such as the steel pipe, the pistol and the golf club.

Story

Henry Townshend lives in South Ashfield, a town half a day's drive from Silent Hill. He is content with his life and lives in the South Ashfield Heights Apartments. But one day he finds himself mysteriously locked in his own apartment, room 302. Not only does he have strange and nightmarish dreams, but he can't escape through the windows or the front door, which has been chained from the inside. No one, not even the people standing right outside the door, can hear him banging on the door and screaming for help. Henry is exploring his apartment trying to figure out what is going on when he discovers a huge hole in the wall of his bathroom. Henry goes through the hole and finds a portal there that takes him to another dimension.
