Shock Troopers

Shock Troopers is a 1-2 player game where players choose one of eight characters to play. Each character has their own attack. Players must also choose one of three routes to take. The goal of the game is to get to the end of the level and defeat the final boss, which is usually a giant vehicle. Crates scattered around the levels can be broken open to get new weapons and power-ups. There is a team mode in which players must choose three characters. The characters can be changed during the game, which is useful if one of them is badly injured. The players can use the other teammates until they find new health points.
